Last Saturday

Yeap, laaaaast Saturday, so loooong ago now only I'm posting about it. Having exams again. But I like! Coz no homework and no tuition classes teehee :)

We bravely brace through a sea of people to I-city (claiming : the most advance technology city), plus on weekends! So picture that! We had to google the place twice and got sesated many times, almost ended up in I-longkang @.@ The road was pretty bad. Some parked their cars way way far from the city and practically used the number 11 bus to get up the small hill. Wait, number 11 bus? (It's our two batang kaki called 11 bus ehehe). Anyway, if you're keen to go, please hurry coz the city is gonna close down soon~ money and electricity is sooo friggin important to their business.

What's I-city?

Nah, some pictures for u!

A city with lighted coiled wires that come in different striking colours and characters!

Christmas trees, peacock, swans, thunder lightning flashes anything u name it!

Derrick bought his light spinner,
very cool!

Derrick and his male swan attraction ahahah!

Just by taking photos, me and my daddy argued like oxen and buffaloes!
Walao, cannot tahan.
"Take bigger!"
"Why so dark?"
"Why so ugly?!"
"TSK! Like this!"
" *sulks* "
"You ah!"

Later, we three grabbed for the "YAHOO I'm here" post @.@

Must post abit hehe @.@

We were attracted by this good-looking fella down here :)
Oh, my Dear! Thou art lovely~

The end.
No! We stopped by for supper at Stargrill.
We had this superb German pork knuckle, Texas barbeque ribs and home made mom's style mushroom soup that came with colourful salad and dressings plus chilled iced lemon tea.
Pictures are unavailable, I don't have my hp cable with me, got cheated by some hp dealer, long story :)

I Wonder

Sometimes when we're too kind, people tend to take for granted of us.

I wonder, O Dear God,
when I'm so angry with it ,
felt like cursing it,
felt that people around me never tried to look into how I felt,
but they harshly told me off,
that I was a pain in their arss.

I wonder, O Dear God,
when I'm so disappointed with myself,
why did I ever bother for being so kind
to it even when it
did not appreciate the kindness,
instead jealousy took control over it,
and it had told me that I was mean,
what the heall?

I wonder, O Dear God,
how many times I had been taken advantage
by mean people
how many times must I put up with them
over and over again
Even if it was like bucket and water to me,
help me Lord,
to love it and encourage it
Even if I had to sacrifice my feeling.

I wonder, O Dear God,
when I'm so angry with it,
when I sat down at Your feet
and tell you how I felt
You work in Your very own ways
and a miracle happened.

I wonder, O Father,
How did You do that?

God You're Capable

I'm not capable
But You are capable
You put a smile on my face
Telling me things will be okay
Coz' You're capable
And I marvel
At Your wonderful works
From the impossible one
You made it possible
You are the God that guards my heart
You are good and will do what is best
Teach me to realize the brevity of life
So that I may grow in wisdom
Be the Lord over my life
God, you hold my world in your hand
You existed before anything else
I know that the Lord is always with me
He's at my right hand,
I'm secure
My heart is glad,
I'm full of hope.

Big Daddy

Everyone everyone went back home yesterday. Mom and dad were super tired. But we still have some guest and relatives checking in and out.

Night came. Daddy took me and Derrick out for Papparich, even though he was very tired and was with a full stomach eating leftovers from lunch as dinner. I still remembered he used to cook and pack Maggimee chicken flavour to me back there in Mentakab Chung Hwa Primary School. My friends marvelled and envied how my daddy pampered me :) Just last week, I cooked MaggiMee before going to school for both of us as breakfast (unhealthy diet, yeah I know) and told him how I treasured his cares and love to me since young. Later he fetched me to school even though it's just a walking distance.

I know his favourite toy too! He craved (and might be still craving teehee...) for a helicopter with a remote control. Should see the looks on his face when he has the remote in his hand. He has one (a few) now, and plays at times and would fly the helicopter so high up and got stuck on the roof. The rest of the story is up to you to imagine :D

He is our standard bar for standard dressing. Very cautious with what we wear to go out. I guess every dad in this whole wide world is the standard bar. At night, I find it extremely hard to sleep in the same room with him during CNY and other holidays in the hotel. Ah, the night orchestral double bass or tuba is simply extremely loud! But, I'll just have to bear with it- though I gotta dread and get up and tell him 'Don't snore please!'.

I guess my dad is an action person instead of a word person- although he is a lawyer. He loves us by doing things, from little things that we didn't even take notice (cleans house, gardening, washes the dishes etc.) to the big things that I cannot imagine. Well big daddy, thank you and I really appreciate the things he did and is doing right now :)

And thank you for drawing this postcard for my Standart 2 assignment- London and Big Ben. You got an A* star for your drawing.

Cny smiles

This year, everyone checked in to the Wee's residence! Teehee :)

5 families had checked in on Saturday. The earliest was auntie Jeslyn (my ah yi) at 9.30am from Singapore. Claire and Dillon (my two favourite cousies) woke up early, excited, started journey 4am to not fight the jam. Then, uncle Fook Kok and Popo in the afternoon from Kuantan and uncle Hagen in the evening from Singapore. Auntie Khadijah (my Ah Bo) from Melaka the next day. Every Heng konco-konco were here this year except for Esther and Zafirah :) The house was super cheerful and kecoh-kecoh. The Wees joined us too. Good thing the floor and walls were still in good condition =D

As usual, our "annual" record was to watch last minute movies! In the afternoon, while waiting for the other half Singaporeans, Ahyi n uncle Mike took all of us to watch ...

1) 72 tenants of prosperity (in Cantonese haha!) - Singapore don't encourage movies in Cantonese

2) Percy Jackson & the lightning thief (English ah? Yala...)

I watched no.2 with uncle Mike n uncle FookKok-we were so just in time, 3 mins late only :)

The next day we watched True Legend in Mandarine (no choice for ah yi in Cantonese, and no other movies for me to watch). Turned out, not bad lah. The Kung Fu stunts were impressive and I mistaken the bad guy was Jay Chou- JC's eyes were smaller hee! Still 17, couldn't watch The Wolfman. So it was either Little Big Soldier pg 13 or True Legend or rot at home doing nothing :)

Esther was in the house too with us during reunion dinner! Through... Msn. We turned on the laptop to give her the CNY mood. Later, some Singapore "true" ghost stories were told by Wesley from NTU Singapore and magic tricks by uncle Daniel (Wee's). Classic! We played this maths scrabble- Rubbikubes. I felt like I'[ve just solved some AddMaths questions -.- There were pregnant silence in between but it was also conversation for us- since we were all extroverts.

Every morning we have Claire and Dillon as alarm for breakfast- Wakeup wakeup wakeup wakeup! *Pulls arm with all their might!* I've gain some weight before CNY, and now the makan kakis are all here. Every gathering, Ahyi and uncle Mike will interrogate the bigger kids- bgr, career choices ETC.. Oh man! Esther, you were in too yeah hee. Later we did some shoppings- bras and FOS, movies Kung Fu Panda, Narnia Prince Caspian and Slumdog Millionair again :)

The house was never sleeping. Wesley and Estee were up whole night to study-exams are in this week. Nescafe everywhere, people everywhere- in halls, in rooms. From laughters to kiddies arguing, everything was so unpredictable with random jokes and farnie things happened. It's not so much of the things we did, but the things that we did together that matter. It's good to have them around! Loves!

Dissection II

Attention!
PG 16
The following content is inappropriate for those under 16 and who vomits after seeing dead bloody meat . Please be aware that the scenes you are about to watch is at your own risk.
Crime Scene : Bio lab
Date&time : 12/2/10 11.15am-12.15pm
Murderers : Students of 5 Cengal 2010

This was my accomplice.
Picture 1 second from the left- our operation chief!
Picture 3- chief commanding troop to carry out mission.

Me and Preveena- discussing about how to murder Mr.Froggie.
Murdering tools- plain white Styrofoams as coffins, long pointy nails, cotton, forceps n CHLOROFORM
Not a bottle, but two!
Be prepared for some horrifying scene ( if and only if you can take it nyahahahha)
Mr.frog : (see the hand) NOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Die you frog! I meant, faint now thou, and we will slice thou openeth.
The pain was too intense to the point the victim went breathless and had to open its mouth hopelessly.

Conclusion :

  • Yellowish stuffs? Not fats, but intestines.
  • Greenish remnants? Other body parts
  • We pulled its tongue out I think by accident
  • We emptied out its organ and YET, its heart was still pumping. Cool!
  • Our team was very successful, brave and corporative. We didn't cut off its head like the other team. Yuks!
  • The headless frog was moving, it was still alive!!
  • Some of the frogs were still alive when we "crucified" it on the styrofoams.
  • Every 10 seconds, screams could be heard, not the victim but the murderer.
  • One frog bit Pn.Norita's hand- that was the first scream
  • Overall, a blast!

Dissecting!

Cow, cow, where art now? Come now, to our Bio Lab Town...
Bio class here we come!

Class of 5 Cengal ( beware...not sengal, hehe ) were pweety excited, coz' we're so gona dissect the moo moo's heart! Teehee. I'm telling you, the moo's heart was super huge- almost as big as my room crystal ioniser. Our photographer forgotten to bring along her camera, if u're reading this, don't feel guilty hehe :) Well, anyway, google will tell you its size.

Except, ours was more bloody, cold, hard, g.r.o.s.s.e.r and smelly!

Something like this lah!

But if you were there, then you'll get the true experience of dissecting!

  • Firstly, we poked the cow's heart with our fingers. Test...test...testing.
  • Next, we detected a few high pitch frequency- euh! yiaks! and yerh!s
  • Thirdly, we cut open it into half, and started wondering, "what if it was me?!" thoughts. (or maybe it was just, me! :D)

The whole session was more of like, a cooking class. We potong-ed the heart as if we had already done it before (chey haha). Sliced, sliced, sliced, minced, minced, minced, poked, poked, poked. One of the veins burst and flowed out like the hot magma from the volcano. Fuish, nicee! Smelled like tau euh (soy sauce). The best part was, we were with our bare hands! No protection with gloves. The guys came to check on my group's table, said that we girls were more ferocious. Well... hehe. Loads of thrill, lots of euhs, trying to find the bundle of His and purkinje fibres from the heart (coz it sounded really farnie n special heehee...)

We even created our own paramedic konon group too.

  1. Main Surgeon : Dr. Mashitah n Dr. Preveena- excited ones haha!
  2. Surgeon : Dr.Sya, Dr.Sara, Dr.YungXin
  3. Nurse : RuYun, HuiMin, Mandy, SzeYen
  4. Oxygen supply : Dr.Yuha n Dr.Vinotha- standby with minyak cap kapak ahaha...
  5. Pharmacist : Me- supplying Dettol hand sanitizer, wet n dry tissue with green tea fragrant.

Efficiency! Excellency!

Coming up next, we're gona cut open the chit chit n krok krok animal. Yeap, white mice and froggies!

Woohoo!

Extraordinary day

Another ordinary day
As I wake up from my bed
I saw the grey sky again

Sometimes it's black,
Maybe white
But I thank God for my sight
Another day
Just another day

One thing I wish and hope
As I struggle to cope
He saw all my tears that I shed

Silently He comforts me
Walking me out of all the pain
The day, turned to an
extraordinary day

Coz' of Him
The rainbow was shinning bright
No more tears nor the gloomy sky
Coz' of Him
I finally had my gleeful smile
All of this, a tougher soul
This day, today, an extraordinary day.

Litttle Miracles

I find some part of the moments in my life are rather amusing and interesting.

It was drizzling since early morning at 7.26am. At 12.25pm the bell rang and it was time to go home! - It was time to go for CF actually. The rain drizzled again as I walked out to the main gate.

Sya : "Mmmh! Daphne! How la?! Raining!"
Me :" Mmmhp! I know Sya! *sighs* and my house is FURTHER than your house!
*more sighs form us*

Silently, I've found the perfect solution. A solution that hasn't helped and happened only once, but many times! It was called Prayers to Jesus. Simple ones that go : "Lord, please hold the rain until I reached home" Prayers need to be specific too. And God held the rain until I reached home.

One day before any big happening events-usually I'm involve in taking up responsibilities, I'll have a flu attack or headache or migraine or any lousy butterfly feeling in me, I cant sleep! Tossing and turning, maybe a little worried, I desperately need help-a doctor who can help miraculously. Jeremiah 33:3 says Call to me and I will answer you, and will tell you great hidden things that you have not known. Yeap, great things like miracles happening right now!

Just a prayer : Lord, please heal my flu, headache (any discomfort) tonight. I claim it, receive it and believe in your healing power right now. I need you Lord." When I say I believe Him, I must also put it to action. Immediately my blocked nose went off. I slept, having much faith by not taking any medication. The results? Always guaranteed by Him. My discomfort was completely healed the next day! :D Trust me, these are not co-incident.

Wanna' find the best Doctor/ Healer/ Guide/ Life coach/ Deliverer/ Teacher/ Planner etc. your Everything in the whole universe? Find Jesus. His hand phone number is 333, always available. Never try never knew. Remember Jeremiah 33:3! Just a prayer away.

Girl says Frog

Kids are just so innocent =D

Preparation for nx year

2009 was... a year of many changes! To me lah :D I dislike summarising a whole year's happening coz' it's impossible to fit everything in a page, just the important ones :

  • My sista went to UK for studies (prepared my heart long time ago)

  • Mr.Ghalib transferred to another school, best BM teacher (was, now)

  • Jenning (my male best friend / my brain) transferred to CHS, shockingly.

  • 3 new science subjects and Additional Maths in f4, struggling.

  • Some relationships with people I knew were drawn closer / further
Everyone dislikes changes :) It takes pretty long time to adjust. Since kakak tua saya kat UK belajar hehe, I learnt much this year how to make my own decisions too- what shirt to wear, what shoe to buy, what haircut to cut, what colour to pick, what food to eat, what to do, what not to do bla bla, just like The Road Not Taken. Jie, you spoilt me alot hee nyahahaha :D But, still sometimes I'll ask Derrick for his opinion ;) Poor kid! (Esther, u'll know the feeling hehe)

So next year,
I'm gona be officially a 2010 SPM candidate soon!

My focus should be on God now, how to enjoy and be useful to God in my single hood, counted already, I may get married in 10 years time =D Anyway, I cut my hair today. No need to tie my hair AT ALL to school! =D I look like standard 2 now :) Goodbye long hair~

Can't do this for drama next year :)

Romantic

"WHAAT?" I asked my brother. "Do you know what's the meaning of romantic or not leh?"

We were sipping iced Ribena after dinner... Yea dadee, no cold water after dinner, indigestion, but it's not like he's gonna read this nyahahaha... once in a blue moon.

Then Derrick took another gulp and went, "Ahhh~ this is romantic~!".
(This is where I came in...)

Daphne : Romantic is when you are spending time with your loved one and only one.

Derrick : I know.

Daphne : Abuthen?! (maybe he meant me hee hee!)

Derrick : This is romantic coz I'm with my Ribena! (not you!)

This kid really knows how to talk!

Change of weapon

The Lord is my shepherd
He gives me everything that I need
He lets me lie down in fields of green grass
He leads me beside quiet waters
He gives me new strength
He guides me to the right path for the honour of His name.
Even though I walk through the darkest valley,
I will not be afraid.
You are with me.
Your shepherd's rod and staff comfort me.

You prepare a feast for me in front of my enemies.
You pour oil on my head.
My cup runs over.
I am sure that your goodness and love will follow me
All the days of my life
And I will live in the house of the Lord,
forever.

Psalm 23 I like!

Brr..... I never felt so pressured in my entire holidays before... This is will be my first and the last... In my prayers, God kept telling me,

" Tekh! Wrong weapon, wrong plan, wrong move!"

What went wrong? But I got it figured out. I'm using my own strength- a very useless weapon. God gave me His secret weapon- "depand on Me" God says, yet I declined subconsciously. Ok, right now, not much time left, dump my old weapon and use God's given weapon.

War time!

Morning Coffee

... Yuck man!

No hot water, no tea.

Lazy.

So the coffee made by my daddy.

Dreading myself to deep the "yao zha guai" into that thick black coffee, I had to force it down my pathetic throat. All I tasted was just bitter, bitter and more acid in my stomach.

No more coffee Daphne!

Nose bleed this morning too =(

Memory verse

Ecclesiastes 11:5

You don't know the path the wind takes. You don't know how a baby is formed inside a mother's womb. So, you can't understand how God works either. God made everything.

Ah finalleee~

I got my dreams! Yeah, dreams! I dreamt of it TWO times. It's kinda' ridiculous and nerdy to dream of...

TWICE!!

So buddies (u know who u are), Yuha (haha!) you can stop thinking of buying me a Stabilo set for me anymore :D

After the THREE long hours of Physic and Chemistry tuition EVERYDAY from 9am-12pm
shopping will help me to distress!
But, today's shopping was stressful...
My favourite shops weren't selling my favourites!
Gota' shop again in December.
Mum : " Wana shop? Eat more at home! "
Had Tai Ping Lang today for dinner.
Satisfied.
Bought a mother-daughter tank top too ;)
PS : I'm using your bed sheet and curtains now jie haha
Room looks sweeter :)
