Fear doesn't come from God. When there's fear, there's no faith. When there's faith, there's no fear.
Live by faith and not by sight. The eyes are short sighted. Those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but for those who live according to the spirit set their minds on the things of the spirit- which gives life and peace. The desire of the flesh belongs to the world and the richness of the world don't last.
God's plans are better. His ways are not my ways, thoughts not my thoughts. All things work for good for those who love him and are called according to his purpose. For this purpose, God has raised us up, that he might show his power in us, and that his name be proclaimed in all the earth. We don't worry about what we can or cannot accomplish, he will make sure his plans are carried out. God is greater than the heart. He is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, all these according to the power at work within us.
Again, trust God with all our hearts. Lean not on our human understanding. In all our ways, we acknowledge God and God will make our paths straight.
Praying should be like breathing. #pastorNickfromCommonChurch

Giving Thanks
The word "thankful" can never describe enough really of how thankful, grateful and appreciative I am to the most wonderful One. He who took me by the hand to travel across the great wide oceans, all the way to a cold place called Boston in the United States.
Really? I'm actually living, breathing and surviving here for 6 months alreadyy!
The amount of friends, things and opportunities provided here from God are amazing. It is the quality, less of quantity. He shows me His love day by day through actions, as it is part of the love language I understand. Seeing Him at work- what He has given me, taught me and groomed me is an incredible part/moment of life for me now at this time, that when looking back one day, definitely, will thank Him over and over again. The only thing I'm worried sometimes is the plans that I make, that they might interfere His ones once in a while. And maybe my short-sightedness as well that bothers.
Still feeling fascinated with all the experiences I have here.
Because of the past, I've always dreamt of meeting sincere and warm friends. And here they are :') God saw my tears and answered my prayers! :') Not only that, coming here alone alivee (yes, the exaggeration) without mama and papa and sister and bro is some major life event ever that happened to me, which is the beginning of that something great that I always believe. In due time. My storybook is slowly filling up by the awesome Author. I want to read yours too !

Steady my Heart - Kari Jobe - Acoustic version
Wish it could be easy
Why is life so messy
Why is pain a part of us
There are days I feel like
Nothing ever goes right
Sometimes it just hurts so much
But You're here
You're real
I know I can trust You
Even when it hurts
Even when it's hard
Even when it all just falls apart
I will run to You
Cause I know that You are
Lover of my soul
Healer of my scars
You steady my heart (x2)
I'm not gonna worry
I know that You got me
Right inside the palm of your hand
Each and every moment
What's good and what gets broken
Happens just the way that You plan
And I will run to You
You're my refuge in Your arms
And I will sing to You
Cause of everything You are
You steady my heart (x2)

Because of love
You know, before I sleep tonight, I would like to thank someone whom has kept His promise to me. People can lie. But this someone is different. This someone has helped me in all the processes of getting my i-20, my air ticket, financially (this part is the bomb man!) and recently, my visa.
I really thought that I couldn't make it to Berklee because of the expensive fees and cost of living over there. But it was my desire. I really wanted it. I had to go through so many storms from requesting my i-20 all the way up to my visa. My family, especially dad, had to face with such challenge, in such short amount of time to provide. We pressed on. We moved on. It was as if, whatever I was doing, obstacles were there to try to stop and discourage me. But, the peace of God was with us. We knew what to do. What we can look at the circumstances, really was like a dead end. That was the time faith is put to test. That was the time where hope is in God and only Him.
Through all these hard times, I finally have this as my testimony to tell. One of the biggest lifetime testimonies I ever had so far, apart from that time God saved me from choking on a solid rectangular chocolate that I almost died (so. not. cool.) . My faith has improved. I learnt so much about God and how to trust Him. Like, really, really, trust Him because there's no one else that could help me.
God cares. So much. God loves me. So so much.
Believe, and you will enter the promised land. God is faithful. He is not a liar. What He said He will bring it to past. God can. Nothing is too impossible for God to move. Sarah, at the age of 100, almost creaking, conceived Isaac. Is there anything too hard for the Lord? (Ps Raymond's sermon)
I really thought that I'm not going anymore. This means so much to me. I will make the two years in Boston the best out of it.

Almost there!
Counting the weeks I have before leaving this country, to a far far away place to study.
It's less than a month now!
Anxious, nervous, excited, butterfly stomach whatever those weird feelings are.
I really don't know what to expect! :D
All I want is to really make the most out of those 2-3 years in Berklee.
The visa application, jabs requirement, packing, confirmation, financial documents, air ticketing etc. so so much to prepare! But every step is another closer step for me to get there. Just got to hang on and see it to completion.
I will really miss mom, daddy, my brother and my sister, and HIS Church (Church- I mean the people and things we do). So thank God for genius people who invented Skype hahaha. And yeah, I will miss Malaysian food !! Nom nom nom nom...
So looking forward to Boston! I'm growing up. I'm "becoming independent but fully dependent on God"- Dad's prayer.
Mom is sleeping on the couch, Derrick is doing his homework quietly while mix.fm is on on the tv- afternoon songs to laze in the hall. And here I am, blogging. I'll miss this too! Omgaaah, feeling so emotional now hahaha.

Our God is Greater
Great things are happening, so much that I learn to hope and hope and believe and pray and increase my faith. Things that I learnt from last week really woke me up from my character blur-ness and spiritual sleepiness. I'm 20 and I'm growing up. Thank God for His grace, mercy, faithfulness and big love for me even when I didn't do a good job.
God works all things together for our good and His glory. Amen to that.
Why are the Israelites so confident in everything they do? Like they know that they will prosper in their work, business, health and family? And people said they seem so stuck-up. But, really, they are not. That's because they know who their God is and who they are, their identity, their inheritance, as co-heirs with Christ (This truth is all in that Book). And they take charge of what's here on earth, their rights here as members from the kingdom of God.
It's so interesting when we know that we can't do things that are impossible for us, God can help and move things until they are possible. Provided if it's His will lah ;) Even if we think we've got it handled well, well God can help us do better!

Ops, I'm sorry. Really?
When someone has wronged you, how do you know which is your apology language?
-When he/she expresses regrets?
-When he/she is accepting responsibilities?
-When he/she is determine to make restitution?
-When he/she genuinely repents?
-When he/she requested for forgiveness?

On Time
I see so many of my beautiful female friends, especially the ones with pure hearts- inward beauty- and with character. So much so, they are still single. Why?
They have the looks.
They have the character.
They have the heart for God.
They have the brains.
They have a good sense of humour too!
Where are all the godly men? (Not the religious ones, mind you.)
Guys, fight for us, fight for the ladies. Guard your heart from all evil things. Keep away from what your flesh desires, what your emotions tell you to do, but keep your eyes fixed on JC. Then you'll know what to do.
Meanwhile, my wish and hope to my single girly friends : Don't fret. Don't fuss. Turn all your frowns upside down. There is definitely that one man that is guarding his heart for you because you too are guarding your heart until you're for each other. The Big Boss up there knows and He sees.
He is planning. He's not late, He's only on time.

I can't say of much now.
But I know mine would have a story too to pen down one day.

Daddy
God is just so so awesome.
He restores what I've lost. He gives me hope.
He is my strength whenever I feel like giving up.
He corrects me when I do something wrong.
He's slow to anger, but always approaches me with love.
He genuinely shares the secrets of living an abundant life with me.
He teaches and guides me along the path that I'm traveling.
God is my shield. I run to Him when I feel threatened and insecure.
God hears me when I call on His name. He hears the cries of His children.
All who loves Him are His children.
I can't live life on earth without You.
Your favour is always with me.
But often I don't see it and I fall into the enemy's deception.
So many times I've disappointed You and failed You.
But so many times You've come to bring me comfort and tell me that "It's alright, I understand. You're safe with me and I love You very much,"
Your joy is my strength.
I'm safe with my Daddy.
My Daddy knows everything.
He loves me for who I am.
This is for You.

My love relationship
Am counting all my blessings.
To me, what matters most is to only please Him.
How can I not be contented and grateful enough for all He has done, provided, redeemed and sacrificed for me? How can I sometimes complain about my discontentment?
Am counting all my blessings.
So many good stuffs from Him.
I know that even when I'm at my lowest ebb, or so alone in this world, worried and afraid, He- my Jesus- will look out for me, love me, be my best friend, be with me in my crappy and happy moments, my ups and downs, put up with all my craps and at the end of the day still stand by me and pick me up, protect me from my enemies, remind me, warn me, and oh my goodness, the "look out for me" already means SO MUCH to me.
"Trust in the Lord your God. Do not depend on your own understanding. Acknowledge Him in all ways and He will make straight your path."
Why turn to others for help when He is the best person to look for? And He has all the best solution. He is 24/7 available for me, for everyone else to contact Him because of what He did on the cross, so that we can have a direct contact connection with Him.
To tell Him all my secrets. To tell Him all my frustrations, worries, fears and feelings I'm going through. To ask Him for help when I don't know what to do and how.
If only everyone knows what a privilege it is to be a friend of God- Jesus.
I too, am trying to constantly remind myself of who He is, what He has done for me, what kind of great love He has for me that my human mind can never understand.
Obedience to Him is so dear and important. Delayed obedience is disobedience. Even partial obedience is disobedience.
If there is one thing that I'm asked to give up, it's never about this relationship I have with Jesus.
It's costly.
I trust Him, I trust in Him, I hope in Him because He never fails. He never stops loving me too.
I'm in love with my Precious!

Sports rock!
I had a good badminton game today with a bunch of coolies from church.
It felt so refreshing after that and we plan to make it a weekly "exercise" thing, since everyone needs some fun exercise :D
I'm gona buy a good racquet, a pair of really good sport shoes, and some new sports attire. This shows that I don't really exercise and I wanna make it a point to AT LEAST... play a ball game ehehe. A shuttlecock is a ball WITH some feathers stuck on it :P
In any camps, captain ball is always one of my favourite ball games. There was once we played in the pool and it was awezome, although the movement is kinda of restricted.
I remember the good times I had with a couple of friends playing volleyball until our hands grew bloody red with sweat dripping down our faces. Also, another bunch of friends who played frisbee in park and beach.
Actually, I think I kinda like sports!
Now I really wonder why mommy never push me into any sports. I got myself involved in a badminton tournament in primary school but gave up because I lost to a champion. I joined my primary school's EVERY sports day audition to get into the r.e.a.l. sports day day to win points for my house, and yesh I did won some points too hehe- high jump, long jump, running, and throw aheavy bullet called "lontar peluru". Never thought I actually did those stuffs! I went for swimming lessons and the best part is that I won a silver and a bronze medal in some swimming competition BECAUSE there was only 3 participants *flashes teeth.
I guess it's also the company that I hang out with that made the game fun :)
*I ain't wana be the soft skinny type of girls with the oh-so-fair and flawless skin and two thin legs the wind could almost blow it off. Sports rock to me :D

Team Meeting
The meet up was good. I really had a wonderful time with the team 2 (MYPG/LYPG).
We had so much to talk on our sleepover at Faith's house.
From sharing about our callings to relationships, from our favourite ice-cream to hobbies, colours and love languages, we got to know each other better. I appreciate the whole meet up because it's so much more easier to know a person in real more than through Skype.
The funniest part was that some did a quick research on FB, trying to scan and memorize the faces and match them with their names before the whole meet up. LOL.
We met some from team 3 too for dinner at Shogun, Solaris. We had a wonderful evening of stuffing our stomachs with plenty of food. I had 2 rounds and that was it! But I managed to go for desserts and fruits. Still, I'm considered as one of the lousiest. Hoohoo!
After the meal, we sat down there and got comfortable with the environment. The introverts don't mind the in-between silence, it's where we obtain our energy hehe, it became a joke among the team members. But we did talked to each other too and shared our own stories, what we're doing now etc. I guess the introverts weren't as introvert as I thought, we're all quite balanced. Nyeheh!
One point that I truly agree was that the "Introverts get really tired after a gathering" but the extroverts became even more energetic.
I guess that a good functioning team is made up of different personalities and characters and everyone has their own uniqueness and gifting. But we all have the same Someone to look to and live for- Jesus. Looking forward to more of our meet ups!
:)

One day down
... and 6 more days to go!
Busy days, tight schedule ones.
I always pray in the toilet before I start to work in Bangsar every time. It's not really a conducive environment to do so, because there's no where else as quiet as the ladies :P Plus, God is everywhere *winks.
A generous customer gave me 2 angpaos, RM10 each, while I was busy serenading the piano at a restaurant in Bangsar. Thank You Jesus for Your favour is always with me. Man, I feel so pampered by Him tonight! :) [a copy-paste from my FB status *grins]
