Wisdom is best

I am loving Psalms and Proverbs each day. I hope I can keep up with this oomph, momentum or whatever you call it. It's good to read and learn these two books from the Bible. Psalms gives me inspiration, and Proverbs gives me wisdom, understanding and good sense.

Proverbs, especially, is a direct and straight forward book for me. heh heh. It says good sense will keep us safe. Understanding will guard us. Wisdom will save us from the ways of evil men. It will save us from men who twist their words. When we look for wisdom and understanding, we will understand how to have respect for the Lord, and find how how to know the Lord. He stores up success and guards the path of honest people. He is like a shield to those who live without blame, He keeps them safe. He watches over the way of his faithful ones. Don't let love and truth leave you, then you will find favour and a good name in the eyes of God and people.

One of my favorite verses is Prov 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart. Do not depend on your own understanding. In all your ways remember him. Then he will make your paths straight and smooth.

Hold on to good sense and the understanding of what is right. Then you will go on your way in safety. You will not trip and fall. The Lord is the one you will trust in. He will keep your feet from being caught in a trap.

I remember complaining how terrible it is to be a nicey person to everyone and then they take advantage of me. I got jealous of man who is capable to hurt others. Prov 3:31 says 'don't be jealous of a man who hurts others. Don't choose any of his ways.' Just because I don't know how to react at times but to hold on to my words and look silly, well I'm happy for being who I am. As long as I ask God for wisdom and understanding in being nice, I'm safe, I won't trip or fall in evil men's plan.

Get wisdom. Get understanding Stay close to wisdom and you will be safe. Love her and she will watch over you. Value wisdom, and she will lift you up. Hold her close and she will honor you.

I think it's a good way of preparing myself for testing times and his ministry. God has taken me out of my shell by opening doors to explore new stuffs in music. So, I'm about to be expose to work and world. Like it or not, I have to do it. I'm always so protected staying at home. Time to grow up and wisdom will nurture me. May God's favor be with everyone who wants wisdom :)

A very special gift

When I open my Facebook, most of the posts I could see on my home page written by all the Seventeens are none other but the unfriendly abbreviation- SPM! GAaaah when is this thingy gonna end?? How lah to manage my time to cover all the chapters before trials next month??! Friggin' panic.

I was extremely restless yesterday night, more like throughout the night. I kept taking out my calendar and counting the dates over and over again, double checked my time table- Would I be able to make it in time to study everything? Talk about stressss -.- After the long dilemma, I shoved my books aside, took out my worn-out faithful Our Daily Journey.

It was about a man named Job- famous in the Bible, the one who lost everything : his wife, children, livestock, land etc. yet still stands firm on his faith in God eventhough it could be very frustrating at times. Such courage is ought to be admire by many. Then I came to a paragraph saying :

It's hard to wait when you're restless; and understandably, Job confessed, " My heart is troubled and restless". If that sounds familiar (like absolutely right now now happening) , remember Jesus' promise, "I am leaving you with a gift- peace of mind and heart" (John 14:27)

A peace of mind and heart is what I really need right now! All I need to do is to have more faith in God that He will help me in my preparation, during and after SPM 2010. I should live by faith and not by sight in God. Shouldn't I start to count my trust in God rather than counting that silly calendar? :)

EXTRA
My favourite verse of the whole year :

I am leaving you with a gift- peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don't be troubled or afraid.
John 14.27

Change of weapon

The Lord is my shepherd
He gives me everything that I need
He lets me lie down in fields of green grass
He leads me beside quiet waters
He gives me new strength
He guides me to the right path for the honour of His name.
Even though I walk through the darkest valley,
I will not be afraid.
You are with me.
Your shepherd's rod and staff comfort me.

You prepare a feast for me in front of my enemies.
You pour oil on my head.
My cup runs over.
I am sure that your goodness and love will follow me
All the days of my life
And I will live in the house of the Lord,
forever.

Psalm 23 I like!

Brr..... I never felt so pressured in my entire holidays before... This is will be my first and the last... In my prayers, God kept telling me,

" Tekh! Wrong weapon, wrong plan, wrong move!"

What went wrong? But I got it figured out. I'm using my own strength- a very useless weapon. God gave me His secret weapon- "depand on Me" God says, yet I declined subconsciously. Ok, right now, not much time left, dump my old weapon and use God's given weapon.

War time!

Memory verse

Ecclesiastes 11:5

You don't know the path the wind takes. You don't know how a baby is formed inside a mother's womb. So, you can't understand how God works either. God made everything.
