Shoot. Is Peter Pan here tonight at my window?
(Probably just the bus)
The days passed by so quickly.
The head is always so saturated with the zillion things to do, that I might have overlooked the beautiful things and people around me. I just wanna' be that better friend to all my friends. Homeworks can really turn me into a jerk for not hanging out with people.
Hello!

Thinking of a cake
Always so busy lah.
Don't know if it's good or not so good.
Butttt, I did my nails today yeayiees !
Sometimes I'm a girly, sometimes I don't have time to be girly.
That's why online shopping did good for people who don't have the time to go in-stores.
I duuu wanna' go in to stores and malls again just like when I was at home.
This is too random. How did it come to this point?
Even the title of this is just out of the place.
That's where my mind is now.
*Teethsmile
In 5 minutes time, gotta' get those projects going again.

Computers and Internets taking over the world
Before I came here, a man from I don't remember where he was from, but his life has been transformed by Christ, prophesied on me that I will be doing a lot of computer-related work. He didn't even know me. I don't even know where he comes from ! True enough, I am doing a lot of computer-related stuffs. I would very much appreciate if I could go by with just one day without facing the screen. That's why I appreciate reading books more than anything else right now. Facebook and Instagram are just increasing my screen usage. After all, one can not really know a person through facebook and all that social media. At least, not for me. Facebook is just for keeping connected with other musicians who are active on social media. That's why I had to update facebook and own an account. It's tiring to keep updating I HATE TO UPDATE BUT I HAVE TO. Other than that, I'd love to have one on one conversation with people about their lives and updates instead of fishing out information from the internet.

That happy person
Sure you've heard that...
Americans eat with fork; 5 cents are bigger than 10 cents (nickel is larger than dime); read the weather in Fahrenheit; write the month first instead of the day in dates; and love good and positive vibe. The last one is the random-est of all. But that's a good practice for everyone. Especially when we are ambassadors for Christ. I'm still learning; nowhere close to perfection.but I do try to be that good positive energy-giver in the midst of all craziness going on. Just so everyone knows, I always try.

Spidey mission
See what fear can really do to you.
It grips your mind so tightly that it took me an hour to kill a half the size of my pinkie... spider. Long and brown, with thin hairy incy wincy legs.
Altogether 33 minutes to think that whether the spider will jump on me or not; 20 minutes to think whether I can do it or not, 6 minutes and 30 seconds to form the necessary weapons- a roll of music sheet paper taped with 5 cellophane tapes for better 'grip' [PARANOID] and a good amount of toilet rolls).
The other night I managed to slam a cockroach. Pfft what's a spidey?
An hour has passed. Time was delayed to complete that mission. I delayed it by arranging my shoes, putting my stuffs into places, brushing my teeth, Facebook here and there, and then finally...
I prayed and asked God for the courage.
I prayed and asked God for the COURAGE to whack a spider.
Oh. my. goodness.
Then came this point of time where I got sick of myself for taking so long to get rid of the spider, I went Nike- Just do it.
And I finished the task.
And thought that I'd feel the accomplishment of doing it.
I was more happy able to overcome my fear. For once, dad and mom weren't there to do it for me. I had to conquer it myself. But, at the same time, annoyed at myself for taking too long !! Imagine... with that one hour I can start an assignment or read a couple of Psalms !
This Daphne is now a changed person.
(My conducting teacher always says that lol after his students are done conducting in front of the class)
Spiders are ew to me. Sorry God :3

I made food
Thanks to Stagecoach, a 1939 oldies black and white film I watched for class.
My stomach growled at the black and white stew he ate in the movie.
Plus, I have all the right reasons to cook a lamb shank in beef broth stew.
Why?
Because I'm friggin living in a refrigerator !!!
Seriously !
My room... It's a fridge !!!
Outside is cold, but my room is colder.
Actually, outside is a fridge; This room that I'm staying in is a friggin' FREEZER.
No kidd.
Shivering like a generator -.-"
OKayy anyway :D
My first stew!
With lots of goodies in it and it smells gooood.
But it's kinda of a little too much oil ? :P
My meat had sales today in Wholefoods.
Indeed a blessing.
Today, just a quick share,
God showered me with little little gifts like meat sales.
My piano teacher commented and complimented on my playing.
My two film scoring and composition lecturers
were very pleased with me with the effort showed in home works and helping the class to settle the misunderstandings about our assignments.
And... omgosh I gotta start doing my home works !!
| My dinner ! Ahhh ! :D Hot stew for a cold weather! |
Of cuz the potatoes are for show. I can't finish my food!
Btw, below was one of my breakfasts earlier this week.
Lovehate the green photo though,
either it's weird or art ! :P
Those are pumpkin slices of cakes.
Yummy delights perfect for breakfast.
Actually, my camera dropped, so that is why.

Taiyaiyaiyaiyaiyai
Patience. I have some new photos coming up soon :)
Last week has started the assignment craze among Berklee students. It's no joke to actually take all 16 FULL credits for the summer, a short semester for full time full credits. That's the bomb man!
Everywhere I go, to the library, I hear students telling each other : Oh, it's been hectic. So SO much work to do. And some digging deep into their Mac along the sideways, typing so hard on the keys. Some burying their heads behind the computers in the labs on their keyboards, and ear phones rubbing in between their ears. Some like me, 'chup' spots in the library and spread files, music sheet papers, laptops and pencil case on the table like nobody's business. But have to take into consideration too that some students need space too hahah!
On Sunday 1245pm, I thought I was the only one waiting for the library to open at 1pm. When I got there at 1.03pm, there were already students filling up spaces in the media lab, library and lounges. Whaattt? Okay, I'm not the only crazy fella - Studying on a Sunday. Fuish! Teehee.
God be my strength. My barin hsa raech is't maxsinum lvele.
Colbie Caillat is on my playlist now.
*Spongebob's crazyy laughter.

Great stuffs about Introverts! I totally agree with it.
Read This : It speaks so much for Introverts. :D
Introversion is not the same as being shy or being a social outcast. Introverts prefer solitary activities over social ones, whereas shy people (who may be extraverts at heart) avoid social encounters out of fear, and the social outcast has little choice in the matter of his or her solitude.
Great list of myths about introverts via Carl King Creative:
Myth #1 – Introverts don’t like to talk.
This is not true. Introverts just don’t talk unless they have something to say. They hate small talk. Get an introvert talking about something they are interested in, and they won’t shut up for days.
Myth #2 – Introverts are shy.
Shyness has nothing to do with being an Introvert. Introverts are not necessarily afraid of people. What they need is a reason to interact. They don’t interact for the sake of interacting. If you want to talk to an Introvert, just start talking. Don’t worry about being polite.
Myth #3 – Introverts are rude.
Introverts often don’t see a reason for beating around the bush with social pleasantries. They want everyone to just be real and honest. Unfortunately, this is not acceptable in most settings, so Introverts can feel a lot of pressure to fit in, which they find exhausting.
Myth #4 – Introverts don’t like people.
On the contrary, Introverts intensely value the few friends they have. They can count their close friends on one hand. If you are lucky enough for an introvert to consider you a friend, you probably have a loyal ally for life. Once you have earned their respect as being a person of substance, you’re in.
Myth #5 – Introverts don’t like to go out in public.
Nonsense. Introverts just don’t like to go out in public FOR AS LONG. They also like to avoid the complications that are involved in public activities. They take in data and experiences very quickly, and as a result, don’t need to be there for long to “get it.” They’re ready to go home, recharge, and process it all. In fact, recharging is absolutely crucial for Introverts.
Myth #6 – Introverts always want to be alone.
Introverts are perfectly comfortable with their own thoughts. They think a lot. They daydream. They like to have problems to work on, puzzles to solve. But they can also get incredibly lonely if they don’t have anyone to share their discoveries with. They crave an authentic and sincere connection with ONE PERSON at a time.
Myth #7 – Introverts are weird.
Introverts are often individualists. They don’t follow the crowd. They’d prefer to be valued for their novel ways of living. They think for themselves and because of that, they often challenge the norm. They don’t make most decisions based on what is popular or trendy.
Myth #8 – Introverts are aloof nerds.
Introverts are people who primarily look inward, paying close attention to their thoughts and emotions. It’s not that they are incapable of paying attention to what is going on around them, it’s just that their inner world is much more stimulating and rewarding to them.
Myth #9 – Introverts don’t know how to relax and have fun.
Introverts typically relax at home or in nature, not in busy public places. Introverts are not thrill seekers and adrenaline junkies. If there is too much talking and noise going on, they shut down. Their brains are too sensitive to the neurotransmitter called Dopamine. Introverts and Extroverts have different dominant neuro-pathways. Just look it up.
Myth #10 – Introverts can fix themselves and become Extroverts.
A world without Introverts would be a world with few scientists, musicians, artists, poets, filmmakers, doctors, mathematicians, writers, and philosophers. That being said, there are still plenty of techniques an Extrovert can learn in order to interact with Introverts. (Yes, I reversed these two terms on purpose to show you how biased our society is.) Introverts cannot “fix themselves” and deserve respect for their natural temperament and contributions to the human race. In fact, one study (Silverman, 1986) showed that the percentage of Introverts increases with IQ.

Movie Time
Me and my roomie watched this film on a Thursday night/Friday morning. Good film indeed!
I like this film because it shows the reality of musicians in the music business, real world with real crisis.
1 down, 9 more to go.
I borrowed 10 DVDs from the Boston Public Library. And a couple of movie soundtrack CDs.
I found Dear John soundtrack OMGOSH I LOVE DEAR JOHN! And Nemo so cuteee I love the soundtrack I LOVE WALT DISNEY and James Newton Howard's work on Hunger Games.
Watching movie is part of my homework, how cool is that?!
Soundtrack music is aweeeesomee.
Should check James Horner's work too on The Land Before Time!
Aweesome childhood movie. I used to watch it like twice a day until my kakak doesn't want to feed me rice.

About to close soon
In a month's time, I might just close down this blog. And start a new one.
I've figured out that I should start and write something fresh and new next year.
Something more insightful and less ramblings around :P
I'll be hitting down the Twenty road next year.
When I read back my super antique blog posts, I couldn't help it at the stuffs that I wrote. My goodness (shakes head) :P
All the memories of being a youth; live, laugh, learn and love shall stay here.
I pretty conclude that my teenage years were brought up in a good environment, with protective parents around me, a good family role model to look up to, a cute little bro to play with, a church to serve and grow up with encouraging friends, and my high school years with all my studious friends- they were crazy bunch too. Good influence people. Everything was so good and nice. Too good and nice, as if I were living to close-to-perfection world. And sometimes I fear, shucks, I'm living in a so protected environment, how am I gonna survive in the real world out there? Especially when I'm gona go to the States soon, all alone, without my family. My family plays an important part in my life, like 90% of it.
But next year on wards, things are going to change. Here comes the line cliche, ready?? I'm gonna start a new chapter of life. Read it like a thousand times coz many have written this kan? That's why I don't like Twilight, because there too many people liked it and it becomes so commercialized. It's overrated, overused, has this overplayed songs Bella's Lullaby and all and it's just so exaggerating. Not that I haven't read the book before, but after one chapter during high school one of the free period, I felt like it's better for me to go back solving my Add Maths problems (that was how boring it was to me :P). Okay if my friend ever read this she might just skin me alive.
College years in Icom were a sneak preview of what's coming ahead, and I find that it's only 'mild'. Long story. But I got the exposure of what is might coming up to me. Scary. But J is in me, to tell me that I can TRUST somebadee to be with me.
I want my holiday. I want it so much like now! Just gota hang in there for another 2 more exams. One is the Ensemble for Pop and Rock, the other is my Piano.
So much in line to do and enjoy during my long break. Can't wait. So can't wait.
:)
Relaxing in Kuantan now. Waiting to go back to KL, actually to college on the way, practice and soundcheck till 9.30pm or 10pm. Exam's tomorrow!

Best Holiday
I am really refreshed by this holiday.
School is starting soon in about a week more.
I don't have my time table because I didn't pay up some e-learner's fees rm700 per sem just to check a one time result and your time table. I think it's quite ridiculous. Plus, I don't really use the online library.
When school starts, it'll be my final sem in ICOM. Man... time is really precious.
I have almost a year more left in Malaysia- to be with my family, to be with my friends, to learn how to cook :P, to be independent, to learn what God wants me to do in Berklee, to serve in church and to enjoy the Nasi Lemak Laksa Roti Canai Teh Tarik Maggi Goreng Ayam Goreng Berempah Char Kuey Tiaw Ayam Masak Merah Satay Char Siew Pao Kolo Mee Pan Mee Omgeeeeee! Etc etc etc.
Yesh yesh, I'm really gonna miss all these and I haven't left for Berklee yet!
What I like about this holiday?
I auto wake up at 8.30am, sometimes fetch my sis for work. Go out for breakfast with my dad, sometimes eat cakes and bread at home. Read a book and ODJ, spend my QT. Turn on my laptop and keyboard. Transcribe some songs, learn some songs. Check out Berklee's Major, roughly know what major I'm gonna choose but still keeping it in prayers. FB a little, Twit a bit, Blog sometimes. Do some housework- put the clothes into the washing machine, sweep the floor, arrange some stuffs, and wash some cups and plates. Then lunch with bro and mom after they come home from school. Rest and talk. Cook dinner or go out for dinner somewhere nice. Esther comes home and I don't feel like doing anything else but to just taltklktatkltkaltktalkttalk with her :D and then jam. Then go to bed.
If I feel lazy, I'll turn on the TV or watch some movies from my hard disk hehe.
Time ticks away so slowly and I'm lovin' it :)
PS : I hate it when people rush me to wake up, to pick my clothes, when I'm shopping, when I'm working on something, JUST. DO. NOT. rush me okay! I can get kinda mang zang :/
So... what now?
Keyboard time :D

Reflecting while I'm hungry
If that person can see you as a beautiful creation through the same lens as God's, and both compatible, I think that it might be the right stuff.
The right season will come.
(An add-on line for "Made in Heaven".)
***
Just received a text message from dad saying that he bought 4 kilos of fresh prawns from Sarawak, and some ikan terubuk (which has a lot of bones in it, kinda of a nuisance hehe), and I'm all ready and eager for mom to cook these food!
I'm hungry. Always am.
Need. to. exercise.

Shoe freak, shucks!
I've counted the pairs of shoes, sandals, flats, heels, wedges and slippers that I own, and it's a total number of 18 of them (I hope I didn't miss out any one, some are left in my car), and I haven't added the ones that I'm sharing with my sister.
Oh dearie.
And I bought another 2 today to add them into my collection of shoesss.
