Learning

If there's one thing I would say that it's at fault, it would be myself and not anyone and anywhere else. I am responsible for my spiritual food.

Just wanna say that HIS Church Malaysia is my home, and will always be. Now living in the states, find a new home then.

There was this one point of time of feeling weird and not inspired. That's where have to start getting the feet up again, doing things differently to see different results. Gosh I miss all the insights from pastor and leaders at home.

It's alright. Everything's a learning process. #comfortwords

Nak Balik Tapi Bila ?

When can I have back my Malaysian life?
When can I see my own people again?
How long more is this training taking place?
Thank You for seeing me through this time. But I miss home. With tears I say this.

How strong more can I hold this fort?

It's a temporary emotional rush I get it, will snap out of it soon. Just need some time. Life is kinda like that, just gotta snap out of misery, the faster the better. I'm getting good at that already, but this time I just want more time.

With all the cwrap going on at home, home is still home lah.
Kan?

Not so little anymore

You know when you stop asking mom and dad about everything and start to figure things out ourselves. That iz growing up d :D Not so little anymore.

It's also really funny to see how tech savvy moms and dads are these days. More surprisingly fun, they can be better than us kidz. No kid ! LoL.

Giving Thanks

The word "thankful" can never describe enough really of how thankful, grateful and appreciative I am to the most wonderful One. He who took me by the hand to travel across the great wide oceans, all the way to a cold place called Boston in the United States.

Really? I'm actually living, breathing and surviving here for 6 months alreadyy!
The amount of friends, things and opportunities provided here from God are amazing. It is the quality, less of quantity. He shows me His love day by day through actions, as it is part of the love language I understand. Seeing Him at work- what He has given me, taught me and groomed me is an incredible part/moment of life for me now at this time, that when looking back one day, definitely, will thank Him over and over again. The only thing I'm worried sometimes is the plans that I make, that they might interfere His ones once in a while. And maybe my short-sightedness as well that bothers.

Still feeling fascinated with all the experiences I have here.

Because of the past, I've always dreamt of meeting sincere and warm friends. And here they are :') God saw my tears and answered my prayers! :') Not only that, coming here alone alivee (yes, the exaggeration) without mama and papa and sister and bro is some major life event ever that happened to me, which is the beginning of that something great that I always believe. In due time. My storybook is slowly filling up by the awesome Author. I want to read yours too !

:D

Again, I will say this

... that I wanna' be home tonight :)

But home is home. I won't be working then. Home is where I rest and eat well; to love and be loved by my family.

Looking at my schedule, I won't be home until God knows when. Even after I've completed my degree in berklee. That's too long to think ahead.

Right now, I just wanna be home... just for awhile.

Oh howww I miss you so badly Kuala Lumpur!

Living in a dream for some time can make a person think of home once in a while.
Again, reminding myself to appreciate what I have and where I am now.

Ma

My mother. Stayed up so late just to Skype with me.
Even though there's the 930am service tomorrow in church.
Sometimes she would wake up super early to prepare food,
if she's on that week for food ministry.

This was taken like, 4 years ago?? Ahaha school-girl hair cut. But mom looks good here, so it's a nice picture :D

She always pours out words of wisdom and encouragement on me. I can never wanna' ask for a better mom cuz she IS the best. She is my best friend; Esther, Derrick and Daddy too.

Lots of LOVE!

I wanna come homeee for a while!

Smart or not smart

In Malaysia, students are being labeled as 'SMART' or 'not so smart' kids, using public tests like UPSR, PMR and SPM examinations as the yardstick. Get as much As as you can. If you can't get straight As, you are not as smart as the ones with a string of As, that is standing right next to you in your class photo. If he can do it, why can't you? Oh, I see, you aren't as diligent as that smarty pants, or, simply you aren't as smart as that person lah !

Smartness does not revolve only in exams. I think it is important too to be clever in how well you are able to communicate with people, be relatable, able to connect with others through conversations, our thinking, lifestyle, and conduct, in actions, words, having that right attitude etc. All in all, able to carry ourselves well when face with people and difficult situation. I think that's what makes a person smart- how he comes out with a good solution and overcomes problem in real life situation, not so much on his studies. But in all things, they are supposed to be balanced as well.

Thankfully, the three of us didn't have problems in our studies. Just recently, my little bro had his chance of proving himself that he is smart enough (I always think that my little bro is smart, sometimes even smarter and wiser than me) to this Malaysian education society. He scored straight As (all 5 of them) in his first major public exam- UPSR. We the family saw how hard he worked day and night, buckling up himself with his malay language (it wasn't easy though that subject, it was tougher in his generation) and saw him cried many times because of the pressure his school teachers exerted on them - that same stupid crap mentality lah that we all the malaysian students get, that is 'if you don't get straight As, you have no bright future'. And that look someone gives you like "Hmm, maybe.. you should also reconsider yourself applying for med schools or not."

Anyway, that boy in blue uniform, is my bro. Derrick.
Alongside with his classmates who got that straight As thing.
(I promise will use a better word the next time, besides 'thing' haha)
He also prayed and asked God that he wanted to be a prefect in school,
so that people would respect him and not mess with him because
of his size. You know, school bullies. Oh the horror.
But I think his heart is big.
And that's all that matters.

Because of their love...

The Skype session with my sister was a little short. But we had a couple of updates.

Eventually, we came to a point where she suddenly started to tell me that all these while, she did not need to work so hard to get things. And I added to her saying that, 'Yeah, because mummy and daddy have been giving us things, and we do not need to work hard to get something,'. Whether something we want or something we need, mummy and daddy are always there to give.

I had the SAME thought as my sister a while ago about myself getting things easily, and that I do not need to work hard. This isn't something to be proud of. In a way, me and my siblings are really fortunate to have parents like mummy and daddy. But now, as we're growing up, we must learn to work (hard) to get something. Mummy and daddy won't be here forever with us. So much of sacrificed made by them because of their love for the three of us. And that they wanted to make things easy for us.

I just wanna be a really good and appreciative daughter to them. My siblings are wonderful people. Mom and dad, thank you for raising the three of us up well. Hope that we didn't give you guys much trouble! Although, yes, I had some rough times with friends in school that you always have to show up in school to defend me. Ahhh, long story ! :P

I love this girlie here

My sister is my best friend.
This is a recycled photo of us hahaha coz we're miles apart now. I do not have much new photos of the two of us.

So, she encouraged me on Skype today :')
We talked so much cwrapp lolol and at the end of the conversation, we wrapped up with some meaningful time of encouraging one another. Actually, this time, she encouraged me more. From the bottom of my heart, my dear JieJie thank you. Whoever marries this lady here, has found his precious gemstone. Hehehe ;PP

Esther is one inspiring woman if any of you get to meet her. I learn from her too and I look up to her as my older sister. She can't be looking out for me anymore. It's also good that I'm separated from her for awhile, get thrown into the sea and learn how to swim myself without my sister. Omgosh, that reminds me of our real swimming lessons when we were kids. Cikgu Mokhtar ! Hahahaha :PP  9am class! Pool water was so so freakin' cold! I would never wanna go through again on such endurance :3

Our super kewl 'bike' (It was so cool okie, at that time hahaha :P). *Shades up!

Mama

Mama just got off the Skype with me. She poured me with so many encouraging and assuring words :') About stress, relationships with people and many more. That I'm doing fine, and she also fine tuned me a little on how to be a girl, a woman and a student. Sometimes, I do not need to explain in so many words, she already understood what I was trying to tell her. Dad got off the Skype with me too just now before mom, but he had to rush off for a meeting, he was at home; mama was in school hahaha ;) And when dad was on Skype with me, mama called him to tell him that I'm stressed up. She was on loud speaker and I could hear them talking haha so funnyy.

It was such a relieve after having told to mum and dad of what I'm going through.

:)

And the home work time continues!

Mom, I do LOVE cooking

I like to go with Asian tonight :D

(Actually, I go with Asian almost... every day ;P)

Steam chicken with hot soup on a wet wet cold rainy day. So satisfying. And with stir fry vegetables, rice and fried eggs.

Soo GOOD!

When I cook, I think of mom. And I realized that I'm a LOT like her when I cook. The style is there. LIke mother like daughter. But she's a wayy better cook than me :) And I wanna be like her! So that I can cook for my own family too and make everyone happy.

I need to go to Chinatown soon and get all my stuffs!

Cooking is so much fun and relaxing. Now time for home works! Can't wait to watch a movie with my roomie Corliss. Movie is part of my home work too. How cool is that??

;)

MOM, I do LOVE cooking like you. Here, I don't get any shelling from you hahahaha :) And all those shelling from you was WORTH IT after all.

When two people meet

Every time I skype with my family, especially my mum, I always think that we are so alike in so many ways. Like mother like daughter. That's the saying! And it's true.

We are so alike in character.

But I look like my dad.

So God is fair hahaha.

I understand my mum and she understands me. Before we say something we already knew what each other is going to say and that is wayyy too creepy for me come to think about it.

She is awesome. She supports the family, she feeds the family, she is a great cook, she sacrifices so much for the family, she teaches her kids to be smart, she manages the house well and other "mummy" stuffs she does. It's crazy to be a working mum, to be a wife and the one who manages household stuffs. Most of the time I really love spending time with her, even if it's just doing groceries. And she would accompany me to do my pedi mani all the way in Cheras (actually, she just doesn't want to see me get lost hahaha!). I love you mummy. I really do.

I want to be like her when I'm a mom. Even better. That way, my children will have a supermom and super awesome grandmama.

:D

Of cause I didn't sidetrack my dad. He is my superman. As the head of the house, a responsible father, a loving husband, well everyone is not perfect but he has done so much for the family too. He was the one who drives the family, who took the lead, who made that turning point that this is it! - To make God be part of his family. That's how we all started a church when I was 11. That was also after he quit his political career. Both mom and dad compliment each other in their lives- the strong points, the weak points, their characters one a supporter the other a leader, their ministry, work and whatever not.

So I want to be like my mom. And God shall find me one like my dad ?

;)

HIS Church Damansara, PJ

I really really miss HIS Church so much. It's been such a great blessing to be part of that family. It was like my hiding place, a safe place for me when I had nowhere to go, when all my hopes were torn apart and my passion GOD and for music just simply fade away.

The old shall pass away. The new one has come. No matter how great the old one is, the new one is always better than the old.

There were stories behind all these but it was definitely part of God's plan to move my whole family to higher ground, to be in HIS Church. I'm really, really glad that we had to go through the hard and rough process. If it wasn't for all those, I wouldn't have found a better place like HIS church that I grow so, so much in the Word, HS and guidance from God, and become of a better character. I was also part of the worship team along with other talented musicians for Christ from all over different countries. Amazing, how God brings people every time when a musician leaves, He prepared another one to join in the music family. The music ministry and leaders have taught me so much to be of great used for God, to dedicate my life, and have prayed, encouraged, uplift and anointed every musicians over and over again to do greater things for God with our talents.

God is faithful to those who are faithful to Him. Therefore, to cut the long story short, of which I can gladly tell those stories anytime face to face to people, how God works and how AWESOME is He in my life, my family's life and HIS Church. One day, I will be a speaker for Christ. In fact, I've come to Boston to be trained personally by God right now. That's another part of the story of how I got here and what He wants to do with me and all :)

So, here's to HIS Church, the family and its 9th Anniversary !

Thank you Hazel Joy for the beautiful card you made for me. I have all of the other cards with me on my study table, Christmas and birthday and I deeply appreciate the time and effort to make them. God bless whatever work you do with your hands :)

With the youths at Winson's palace. Place? Palace? Palace place hahaha.

STOMP time! Those bunch of talented youths really dedicated themselves for Christmas practice.

:)

U just gota LOVE these people. Such a blessing to have them as friends. So much joy!

Christmas 2012. Beautiful deco.

My dear friends.

Yesterday was HIS Church's 9th Anniversary! So glad to see the worship team again, with so many people serving to be a blessing.

Careful with my lil bro there lolol ;PP

CNY 2012 Greg Yoon was there to join us. The famous Korean tenor vocalist with such a great life testimony He shared.

Pastor Raymond and his wife, Pastor Li Meng and the rest of my friends. These two pastors whom I really really, look up to so much and respect them. So much had they given up themselves to God and ministry and for the people. So much of sacrifices made and faith of so great.

And yes, the family. Not all of them are in the picture here. But they all fit just rightly in my heart. I love them like my bro and sis in Christ.

The last few days

The last few days in Malaysia has been an emotional one.
From the 13th General Elections (GE13) to the friends sincerely meeting up with me, who came all the way to my place to spend time with me, those who contacted me to meet me up, and the friends who prayed for me in Cell Group, at Youth, during worship team meeting and debriefing time and practically every time I meet these guys they would pray for me. So encouraged.

:')

And my bruther and sister have been so good to me, not just because that I'm leaving or what, they have been always good to me hahaha. Well, I will miss them, especially Derrick's joke which cracks me up, and his perfect measurement in making tea for me. That 12-year-old really is an adorable fella in this family. Esther also gave me some heads up about living in the overseas. From safety to friends to growing spiritually and all. It's good to have her around. Now that she won't be with me in the States, I have to be... (here comes the word)... independent !

So here is the big family ! And yeah, some came later and the group became bigger. But it's alright, even if their faces are not in this bigg photo... You guys are, in another photo then hahaha! You guys are still in my heart :))

They threw me a surprise farewell party on one Saturday! The video caught me live and I barely could find a place to hide myself. It's on FB. Thanks for coming and all the effort made. :)

A dear friend of mine who bought this for me!

The very loving family I have

The cook (specializes in Asian Fusion) , the smarty pants (like seriously smart! Applying for Harvard now), the nutritionist, the very dedicated teacher who gave up all the hard years of studying actuarial science for her passion- teaching, she can sing really well too! The IT man and of course the lawyer whom I admire most- my sister.

The fashion designer whom has 3 other siblings that doesn't look like each other hahaha! Awesome foursome Ngion siblings.

Yes, this is the wonderful friend who bought the Oreo Cheesecake :D

And the babes over here whom went through the ups and downs of secondary school life with me. I love them. Two weren't here. They are now in Canada. JPA Scholars man :)

The talented MD from the Philippines, the Maths teacher who is so good in Maths (hahaha!), I mean numbers and figures, the inspiring writer and his brother, the mind-reader? Haha.  They are the Ngion Brothers. Awesome peeps. And the whacky guys with so much of talents in them waiting to be unleashed.

She's like a little sister to me- Shereen. I have her names all over my SkyBurger game in iPhone. Hahah.

After this, my camera got spammed by these bunch of jokers :D

The drummer and keyboardist. Who stays so far in Klang, yet dedicated serving in the worship team.

And here comes the other gang. It's a campur group of friends.  Prayer warriors, fantastic musicians and of many more.

Then comes my cousin who made me wear this... thing hahaha! She wanted to snap with a "Princess" lolol.

The finale but not yet the finale : Sam from the Philippines and Nick from PJ, whom I always enjoy playing with these gifted musicians on Sundays. And Thursday practices too. Whee!

So, I guess there will be more photos coming in soon. I hope I have time to upload them here. Oh yes, and the gifts!

Ehehe. I took it from my Instagram :P Mini size.
Thanks for the beautiful card made with love from the creative sister Hazel Joy :D And the drawings, perfume, heart-shaped wallet, jacket and bracelet from Canada.

Oh ohh, wait one more. :PP

The babes who came and visited me at home. 7 years of friendship and still going on. Love these girlies.
Okay.
The End.
For now.

:D
